This morning, the ubuntu updater informed me that he had new updates, including one to the kernel 2.6.20-16. As always, check and accept. Now that I returned to apprehend Sumomo, surprise! a frightful X:

Needless to say that the system will not boot with that kernel. Luckily I had the previous 2.6.20-15 and that if I can get. And to think I was going to uninstall ... the one that saves me:) Meanwhile, research that was what happened.
